I am still new (only under a year as a nurse). I’ve been working night shift, I’ve worked days but prefer nights. Have any of you struggled with seeing day shifters getting lots of recognition for their work and feeling like you’re doing some strong work and not getting recognized, but don’t want to be THAT person begging for it? How do you handle it?

If you are the kind of nurse who loves getting involved with administrative duties and who love accolades, then day shift is your best bet. However, you can still get recognition as a night shifter if you go above and beyond. You are still early in your career, focus on learning more and advancing your career than looking at recognitions.
